Below are some comments and/or email excerpts I have received.  The year 2009 was a roller coaster to say the least. (Heck, my whole involvement with the TDR was like that.)  But, just when I feel like I'm at my wits end, someone shares a kind word ... and I am reminded that it is all worth it in the end for the few of character and integrity that believe in honesty at all costs.  I am very grateful for your support --- Thank you.

Check back for continuous updated!

4/29/10 Thank you very much for that information.  I will be moving to a new house in a couple of months so an adoption or deposit will have to wait until then.  Because you obviously care for this breed, I would definitely choose one of your puppies and be honored to bring one into my family.  Thanks again for the info and thank you for caring so much about these animals. - S.V.

4/29/10 - I'd been following you on your website for quite a while and I must say that it takes guts to just walk away from an organization that you had so much invested in. Too many people now days want to breed animals just for the money. I would like one of your applications, if you could send one my way.- E.M.

4/1/10 - Hi, First of all let me say that of all of the breeder websites I have visited, yours is by far the most honest and informative. I can tell you really care about your dogs!  Let me introduce myself, my name is A.L.  I have loved dogs ever since I was a little boy and have always wanted to get one. I have started searching for a potential dog to adopt and been looking into many many different types of breeds. I am very interested in the Tamaskan because it is such a unique breed, a very intelligent one, good with people, and easily trainable. I would like to start a correspondance with you because I have so many questions.  Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to speaking with you over the next few months.  - A.L.

RECEIVED 3/12/10 - Kim, i just finished reading all the effort you were putting into the puppies! They sound like little geniuses. I'm really glad you posted your experience, you did a wonderful job getting those puppies ready for their new lives...  the TDR just seems so full of themelves. They make a club and claim their puppies are the only ones that are safe to purchase and that they are the sole governing body of the breed and people believe them. It just seems crazy that they can get away with tricking people. A lot of breeds don't even have clubs or websites regarding them, so it's even more of a ridiculous situation.  ... The TDR posts outwardly about what they think are "unreputable breeders" right on the clubs site. It's pretty unprofessional of them, and i for one am glad the TBA is classy enough not to do that (:    ...It's a good system... Sarah

2/26/10 Hello Kim,    My name is D.L..  I have been reading about the Tamaskan breed for a little over a year now.  My wife and I have begun researching for a new addition for our family.  I have a 3 1/2 yr old son that loves animals and we wish to further his growth by adding a dog.  Keep in mind, not just any dog will do.  After reading about the Tamaskan breed and following your website, we have come to belief that a Tamaskan fits all of our requirements.  I would also like to add, I really appreciate what you have stated on your site, throughout all the issues with that other "group".  We are not looking to adopt at this moment.  I believe we will be best prepared in 1 1/2 to 2 years.  We currently live in a townhouse and neither of us believes that this would be adequate for a dog.  We live in ***, CO, I will keep you informed on where we end up buying a house and send pictures of course.  You may contact me either via this email address or by phone at ********.  Please feel free to ask me any questions or voice any concerns.  I look forward to hearing from you!  Thank you, D.L.

RECEIVED 2/22/10 - Hello Kim!  I can't even begin to express how glad i was to find your site. It took a lot of research for me to find the type of dog that would best suit me and i found it at last. The Tamaskan is beautiful and i've seen all The videos on youtube, they are BRILLIANT! They are definately the best dog breed i've found.   Over the past couple of months i've been researching this dog, and the TBA and the TDR and your site was so helpful. Your honesty and openness is such a relief in this day and age where everyone wants to buy and sell and buy and sell and will do anything for a profit.    To express my thanks, i've created a banner for your site. The current banner is pretty pixelated, so i figured it was something i could do to contribute to the [Aatu] Tamaskan revival. Attached is the banner with a white background, and a banner with green background. Don't feel pressured to use them though, it was just fun to make :P As a final "criticism" to the site.... add more photos of the puppies! They are so beautiful, and i'd love to see more of them!    As for getting a puppy i would love one, but i'm just going into my first year of university and it's going to take about 6 years to get in a position where i could afford/house a dog. The only good thing about the wait is seeing what the TBA is going to come up with! I'm so excited. I'm so glad you and other TBA members are going to be doing everything you can to make the Tamaskan a healthier breed.   Thank you for everything you are doing, and everything you are committed to,  Sarah, CA

RECEIVED 12/14/09 --- "Love the Aatu" -  Hello, my name is ***** and I've been researching the Tamaskan for a few days now; I've been obsessed with it ever since I stumbled across it on the net! I've visited just about every Tamaskan site on the web, starting with the Tamaskan Dog Register of the UK and I finally worked my way around to the Aatu Tamaskan here in the states. I read all about the UK 'issues' and their dishonesty/lack of ethics, and how you and another breeder branched off to form the Aatu out of a desire to make the breed healthier and more "wolfy." I can't commend you enough for what you've done, it takes a lot of guts to do something like that, and I highly respect both of you (as well as future Aatu breeders) for your commitment to making the breed what it should have been to begin with--HEALTHY, and not a wolf! :)

That aside, I am so  intrigued with this new breed. I've always loved wolves, but I've also always been against owning a wolf or wolf-hybrid as a pet. When I discovered the Tamaskan, I couldn't believe the dog I'd been searching for actually existed. It was extremely disappointing to learn that the "founders" were actually misadvertising their dogs as not containing any wolf content, when actually they did...and quite a bit at that. That kind of dishonesty should have repercussions, especially since they created a breed with so many devastating health issues. It really angers me, even though I'm just an observer and not yet involved in anything!

I'm really excited to see how the Tamaskan Breeders Association grows over the next few years... I support your goals fully and am thinking about becoming a breeder myself someday, though it will have to wait until after I graduate from college next winter, secure a job and get a place with some land!

Again, I am so glad that we have some HONEST, ETHICAL breeders of these beautiful animals here in the US, and I can't wait to see how your organization contributes to and improves the breed. Hopefully, I'll be a part of it someday. :)

Take care, and let me know how things are going!

RECEIVED 12/3/09 --- " Congratulations on Leaving the TDR" - Dear Kim, I have been following the introduction and breeding of Tamaskans in the US for quite some time now.  It is my goal to include one of these beautiful dogs in my family in the future. I have followed online the ongoing saga between all the different "official" Tamaskan organizations, and am very pleased that you and Conchur has separated yourselves from the B.S. (pardon my initialed french).  A breeder who can step forth from the politics and ill-dealings of a society for the sole sake of the dogs involved is a shining example of humanity and strength of character. I have followed your web page and your ethics in general, and this has only cemented me in the fact that when it comes time, I will be contacted only you or your referral for a healthy, beautiful Tamaskan. Thank you for being a shining light in the community.  May you and yours enjoy a warm and prosperous holiday season.  With much respect and admiration, D.S., Long Island, NY

11/16/09 - Hello! My name is S.C..  I've been doing a lot of research about the Tamaskan breed and could only hope one day I could have my own (it's the ultimate dream dog, next to my own beautiful dog, of course).  I was so impressed by your site and how well you treat your dogs!  Your opinions and own research are so well done!  Though I couldn't personally butcher an animal, I think you've just converted me to feed any future dogs a raw diet. However, I do have a few questions, if you don't mind.  Thank you for educating me about the tamaskans, your emails have been very informative. :)  I hope to have a tamaskan in my life in the future and if that opportunity ever comes up, you'll be the first to know.  … S.C

10/15/09 Hello Kim :-)  My name is K… and I am a 17 year old girl. I visit your site a lot to look a your gorgeous Tamaskans. They are breathtaking animals. I stumbled across Tamaskans by total accident one day while I was looking at pictures of dogs and fell in love with the breed. I researched them because I wanted to know everything I could about these beautiful animals. While researching them I found your site, so I wanted to thank you for all of the helpful information about the breed. Out of all the Tamaskan sites I have viewed yours is the most welcoming. You have more information about your dogs and yourself than I have seen on the other sites and I like that, I feel like I can trust you and you seem to genuinely love dogs, as do I. I know you might find this weird but I just wanted to let you know that one day, not right now, but one day I would like to raise one of your Tamaskan puppies as a pet of my own. You would be the only breeder that I would even consider. So please don't stop the good thing you are doing for this breed. One day I would like to be a breeder myself, a good breeder. Not these disheartening puppy mills I see, but a good quality breeder, such as yourself. Just know that somewhere out there someone appreciates how you are breeding your animals.http://mail.yimg.com/a/i/mesg/tsmileys2/01.gif Thank you for taking time to read this. A fan of yours, K….B.

9/19/09 - Hello Kim, I'm considering getting into the Tamaskan breed afew years down the road and so far I have enjoyed many photos and videos. What prompted me to email you is that you are the first Tamaskan breeder I've come across with what I believe is you heart and soul pouring out into your writings on your site. I gelt completely compeld to email you. Any ways, seeing as I am a hopeful/future breeder of Tamaskans I hope you might not mind afew general questions about the Tamaskans and you involement, etc. I need any info I can get before I start 8) -  KH

9/19/09 Hello, My name is N, I just learned of the Aatu Tamaskan, I instantly fell in love with this breed!  I was looking into someday getting a wolf hybrid, when I came across "Right Puppy Kennel" and the Tamaskan breed (later I found out "Right Puppy Kennel" runs things puppy mill style)   So I found Tamaskan Dog Register and starting digging a little, finally I found Tamaskan breeders Association, and at first I couldn't figure out why the name of the breed was different until I found your website where it explained the breeders code of ethics and the misuse of the Tamaskan breed.  I  first want to thank you for exposing the corruption of TDR!  Secondly, in the future I would love to own and someday breed Aatu Tamaskan dogs, I was hoping for any tips/information about the breed and breeding Aatu Tamaskans, as I would like to learn all I can.  Also I have been looking into feeding raw for a while, I noticed you feed raw, my DOG  has never had raw meat in her life, so I'm somewhat scared to start feeding her raw food because of her age and the fact that she has only eaten commercial dog food, any input on that?  Sorry for the endless questions. :D  Thank you so much for your time and all the information you have already provided, I look forward to hearing from you  ~ N

9/9/09 - Hello Kim and Reggie, I have emailed you both recently, and I understand you both to be very honest, decent people. Today, I checked the Tamaskan Forum, and it strikes me as odd that after you two have left the TDR and the NTCA that they now are adding pages to their sites about the health and conditions of the Tamaskan breed.  I know that any issue on health and ethical practices between you and the TDR breeders would only end in an argument about who was right. So, I'm not even going to go into that. I have no reason to doubt what you have told me about the reasons for your leaving, as you have only been kind and honest with me. Kim, I check your site pretty regularly, and I read what updates you've put up, and I'm excited and anxious about what's going to happen. I have decided to stay with the breeders that I trust to be concerned about the welfare of the animal, both as a breed and as an individual, the most. So I'm happy to say that I hope to one day be the owner of a happy, healthy Aatu Tamaskan!   I wish you and the TBA all the luck in the world on your endeavors with the Aatu. I will be following to see how things are going, and I will let you know when will be able to (hopefully) own one of these wonderful dogs for myself.   Thank you for your honesty and kindness, - CW

Received 9/3/09 - I've been watching the Tamaskan for a few months. I've communicated with Lynn since April and Kim. Lynn told me that I shouldn't buy from you or the Oregon breeder, but her reasoning was never clear and seemed personal to me, especially since she sold the dogs to the breeders she was talking about or from where they got their dog. I recently joined the forum and raised some question as to information and procedure, and the fact that the TDR and its forum were bashing some breeders no longer with them. I too was banned from the forum. Jennie said that my PM (private message) to some would not be accepted because of YOUR influence. I questioned how one person could have so much influence if THEY were doing the right thing. She said that she "concluded" you and I were friends, and that she wouldn't have you influencing others on the forum. Well, needless to say, what I have seen posted by others on the forum about their deletions of posts and banning of people who question them is absolutely TRUE, as I have now experienced it firsthand. I was on the forum for ONE DAY, a new person searching my options as to the best breeder to go to and which organization to follow. Well, there's no doubt in my mind that I will work with you and the TBA for my future relationship with the Tamaskan. How unprofessionally I was treated, and their actions only prove TO ME that they have more to hide than they are letting on. Thanks for your professionalism and honesty and giving ME the chance to decide where I want to be and who to be associated with and allowing me to express my opinions and feelings in our communications. You and the Aatu Tamaskan have my support! ... Lori

Received 8/17/09You know Kim, the more I talk to you, the more impressed I am with everything you have to say. I like the fact that you won't air what could be considered dirty laundry ...  Amanda, CO

Received 8/16/09:  I just wanted to say thank you ever so much. I have been doing some research about Tamaskans verses wolf hybrids. There was a lot of very important information on your website that I  had already suspected about another "breeder", as well as important health issues I did not know about. You saved me a whole bunch of heart ache...ever so thankful, Heather D.

Received 8/12/09:  I've read all the pages on your website and commend you on such a thorough treatment of the breed, your business, and philosophy. - Alice, NV

Received 7/12/09:  Your dogs are beautiful, exactly what I want ( and have become accostumed too, minus the agression with my mal)  and I am very invested in this choice but in the best interest in any animal I am willing to wait until I know the time is right. I just want you to rememeber me and know me, since eventually I want to obtain a little boy from you. I just want to put him before impulse, personal wants/needs and give him the best start possible. Remember me,… --- Michelle B.

Received 7/9/09:  Hi Kim I love the service that you are given to people an such beautiful dogs you are looking after it is such a unique dog and you have such great information on this amazing dog it is people like you give dogs such a better chance of living you are a proper dog breeder and unfortunately for me I live in Ireland and have no such care for dogs of this beauty or strength they have Siberian huskry but people have them to show off and look like they have the most expesnive dog, whereas breeders like yourself gives out all the perfect information to totally let a person know all of the facts. But along with all the facts you still have strict laws and policies about if you can have a Tamaskan. I want to say a huge thank you for making such a great website fro people like me. you really have made my day Thank You. --- Robert B., Ireland

Received 4/15/09:   WOW!…I am not exactly sure where to start here but I think my subject line has pretty much summed it up.
