Future Breeding Plans

GOALS AND PLANS FOR TA-KARI'S BREEDING PROGRAM...
updated10/1/12

For any and all that have been following Ta-Kari since the beginning (2007) or from May 2009, you know that a lot has transpired in the 'vehicle'  we have chosen to pursue our goal of producing high quality, wolf look-alike companion dogs.  I am in the process of revamping the site (the No Wolf Tamaskan Fable) so that a PDF download can be purchased

Our goal remains that same, and we continue our research into outcross breeds and pedigrees to introduce or cross into our lines to continue breeding.  However, I am realistic in that this incredible venture and journey I have been on will not last forever.  I can only hope that our experiences with that Tamaskan (and experiences with others involved in the 'Tamaskan community') will enlighten others to be wary on their choices and encourage them to do their research to find the right dog and the truth about their lines.

As for our FUTURE BREEDING PLANS... I will breed Takeia one last time and then retire my girl to be my 'go everywhere' companion.  Mystique will take over the breeding program until such time as I decide to keep future females or quietly fade into the night to live a peaceful life with my pack.  As you know, not all plans come to fruition... and I am accepting of that.

I am planning on breeding Mystique to Dakari come spring 2013.  I am confident that they will have outstanding and beautiful puppies, and believe they will fulfill the goal of what I have been striving for.  I do have two other males lined up for future use, and if I will use a Dakari x Takeia male on Mystique at least once.  Since Mystique has yellow eyes and Takeia carries the yellow eye gene (her eyes are gold), I am hoping to keep that gene in future lines.  Ideally, I would like to get (and am hopeful) some darker pups with yellow eyes.  Since Dakari has been known to throw some darker puppies and Mystique carries the phase coloring from her mom... WOW!  That would be awesome!!  Of course, nature is nature (not like two white humans having a baby).

In any event, we have been very blessed and grateful for our experiences and the friends we have made through our puppies.  When I get emails and texts of how happy people are with their dog(s), and have them come back for another... it has made it all worthwhile (even the bad experiences).

WILL PROVIDE UPDATES AS THEY ARISE!!!

Our goals are summed up in this saying:

Quality is never an accident; it is the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it shows the wise choice of many alternatives~ William Foster

We continue to breed in accordance with the standards we contributed to for the Aatu Tamaskan.

My loyalty and commitment is first to my dogs and then to those that come to us.  The only people I owe anything to are puppy adopters, and what I owe is honesty in every aspect by sharing knowledge, education and truth about our dogs, their pedigrees and future intentions for our breeding program.

Our focus is to continually improve on our stock and  our wolflike companions dogs in every way.  We maintain a mentality of "superior" in our dogs and breeding, including excellent care for sires and dams and puppies, health testing, full disclosure of pedigree and health issues, and complete honesty and integrity.  Anything less will not do!!!

We have spent a tremendous amount of time researching and speaking with experienced and reputable breeders and reproductive specialists.  We will deal with and follow  proven scientific and veterinary research, not simply opinion (or the attitude that just because something has been around longer it is the best or only way), to ensure the health of our dogs and their offspring.  (People are always willing to give their opinion as to how things are done, but never have the research to back it up.) All adopters will have access to our vet should they have any questions.

 PLANS FOR BREEDING:

Takeia and Dakari are two of the foundation dogs for the Tamaskan and Aatu Tamaskan in the US.  Mystique is our outcross female.  Use of Dakari and other outcross studs with our females will create new bloodlines, and continue our goal of producing the  best wolf look-alike companion dog you can find.  We are  in constant contact with outcross breeders to provide additional stock to add what we are looking at for Ta-Kari's  future.

My reputation as a breeder is very important to me.  I have many wonderful references, and out of 26 puppies placed, I have only had two bad experiences (and they were with people).  It has been our continued focus to provide full disclosure  to all adopters regarding the pedigree in our pups, and any health issues that there may have been in those lines.   In fact, this information has been already posted on this site and any screened applicants are fully advised upon screening.

HONESTY - FULL DISCLOSURE - INTEGRITY!!!

My promise and guarantee.
