DNA RESULTS

DNA SAYS ...

6/4/10

The TDR chooses to operate through lies, slander and libel, rather than come clean on any of their very public misleadings and transgressions.  They accuse others of lying in an attempt to cover their own deceitful tracks and hide their own immoral and unethical conduct.  One example of their behavior was tracking down the then-pending adopter of Ta-Kari Abu on Facebook in an attempt to malign and discredit me, claiming that the Tamaskan  breed (specifically Blustag) had never produced a piebald/inkspot, and that there was no way this piebald could be of a Tamaskan breeding.   I knew otherwise, since it was two registered Tamaskans that produced our little inkspot ... Takeia and Dakari.

Well, we have our DNA results back, and it is 100% match to Takeia and Dakari.  Ironically, the TDR refuses to provide the same kind of testing and results for the wolfdogs they have used in their breeding but instead continue to stoop to deplorable, childish conduct and slander.  [It really would be so easy since they state all their dogs are DNA profiled; but they refuse.]  They prefer libel to honesty. They choose to operate in a "private forum" and behind closed doors for only the 'few' to see their true demeanor and actions (knowing their conduct is libelous and subject to legal action).  WE CHOOSE to post all that we know about our dogs and their histories for anyone to see.

In view of our confirmed DNA results, Reggie at Conchur has been so kind as to prepare the following regarding the pending issues, which are now closed.  This can also be found at http://www.tamaskan.eu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=219:

On January 3, 2010, Alba Brun @Ta-Kari (Dakari) and J&J Moonlight @Ta-Kari (Takeia) produced a litter of puppies. Among the four puppies in this litter, one was a piebald. I was on the phone while the puppies were being born, and to say we were surprised to see a piebald is an understatement. However, we have made no secret of the piebald puppy and Ta-Kari immediately began researching this issue.

Concurrently, at least one TDR Committee member discovered the birth of the piebald and the Chairperson of the TDR (Blustag) and Secretary (Blufawn) immediately posted accusations that Ta-Kari had to have bred Takeia to an outcross, since, by their assertions, no piebalds had ever been produced by a Tamaskan mating. As you can imagine, rumors swirled and other TDR committee members joined in by posting comments in an attempt to discredit Ta-Kari. In fact, a TDR committee member tracked down the individual who purchased this piebald puppy and attempted to dissuade her from taking this puppy when she insisted that the puppy was not a purebred Tamaskan and disparaged Ta-Kari as a breeder. The puppy owner had been so excited about the new puppy that she posted his pictures and background on Facebook, including his birth from two TDR registered Tamaskans. Messages to her through her Facebook page indicate the lengths to which TDR Committee members went to find her.

In-depth research by the TBA into TDR pedigrees and foundation dogs has identified the lines which contain the potential to produce piebald puppies. Research and consultation with our specialist in genetics has identified the manner in which the piebald gene can be phenotypically displayed. This information was immediately posted on Ta-Kari’s website and all Aatu breeders will benefit from this work. During this time, we also received emails and photographs from pet owners of piebald puppies produced by and purchased from Blustag, which refuted her claims that “a piebald had never produced” and that they were rare if not impossible. These pictures are also posted on Ta-Kari’s website, along with other information identifying lines in the Blustag pedigrees that are known to have produced piebald puppies.

The final piece of documentation is the DNA test results which we have just received. DNA tests for the piebald puppy (Ta-Kari Abu @ Grand Taru) were matched with Takeia and Dakari and confirm without a doubt that Dakari is the sire of this litter.

The positive DNA results prove conclusively that the piebald puppy and his three littermates were produced by TDR registered Tamaskans, Takeia and Dakari. This issue is now put to rest through documented evidence.

While we expect no apologies from any TDR members, as this has never been their style, I would like to point out how easy it has been proven that the assertions made by the TDR as to the parentage of these puppies were false. Surely the Secretary or Chairperson of the TDR could easily do the same in order to prove their claims that Oskari the Siberian Husky (residing at Wild Motion) , not Oskari the CsV (Oxbow Leva-Neve at Polar Speed), is the sire of Dingo and Jackal ; that White Fang and Valko are not the same dog; and that Valko is neither Heidi’s sire nor Jodie/Henki’s littermate, etc.

It is really quite easy to stop a rumor when it is not true.
