Saturday, September 24th, Ta-Kari Tamaskans welcomed the JUNGLE BOOK litter... two boys and two girls.  (Sadly, one little girl, the last one, was still-born.)

BAGHEERA,female
AKELA, female
SHERE-KHAN, male
BALOO, male

This litter is from a breeding using an outcross bitch, ANDY BRAKY, and Dakari.  Andy is a European-bred  sable (wolf grey) German Shepherd.  Her assets (tail carriage and set, large paws, nice ears, temperament, excellent hips, desire and drive) should compliment Dakari's wonderful characteristics and produce a dark, very wolf-type litter with a very balanced temperament... an excellent companion dog with the ability to excel in a variety of areas.  (Remember though:  What we are seeking to produce are wonderful companion dogs with an incredible desire to please.  ANY type of aggression is a fault, and although this is a part-German Shepherd litter, they are not considered 'protection-type' dogs, and that is not what we are breeding for.)

It is in our plans to keep a male from this litter for future breeding to compliment our other girls, should either of these males develop as we hope they will.

You can view Andy's family/litter pedigree HERE.  [This is her full brother and littermate, Alan Braky.]

HEALTH:  Andy had her hips scored according to FCI scoring and is an A-normal (equivalent to OFA Excellent).  She has also had her elbows x-rayed without issue.  Andy has had no health issues and has had several litters, including one prior to her being imported here from Slovakia.  She was adopted from www.eurosportk9.com.  You can see her SIRE'S pedigree here

TEMPERAMENT:   Although Andy has been trained to Schutzand level 1, she is very laid back and handler sensitive.  She is more of the 'lower man' on the totem pole and very eager to listen and please.  She has been a pleasure to have in my home for the last three months and there have been no issues between her and the rest of my pack.  In fact, being as submissive as she is, she has not vied for alpha female and has been content to run with the pack or hang in her crate.  (I have seen some of her pups, and they would have been too high drive and active for my liking, so I believe Andy's temperament with Dakari's mix will produce well-balanced, loving companions.
