FIRST: If you are
interested in a puppy, contact me NOW! I get dozens of inquiries a month and applications for adoption.
Do not wait until the last second. However, note that I do not work on "first come, first serve", as it is
my responsibility to place the right pup with the right family. I also want to get to know prospective adopters as best
as possible, so communication is crucial! OF UTMOST
IMPORTANCE: Please check your State's regulations and policies regarding wolfdogs (see Litters and Adoption
page regarding wolf look-alike issues).
THE
APPLICATION PROCESS: All prospective purchasers MUST complete
a Purchase Questionnaire in order to be considered for a Ta-Kari puppy. While there is for the most part no specific
order for a “waiting list”, purchasers will be chosen after careful consideration from the applications received.
Since there will only be so many pups available, other approved adopters will be put on a waiting list for subsequent litters.
Due to the overwhelming interest in Ta-Kari pups, a non-refundable deposit of $300.00 may be required upon approval to
hold your pup. As a rare breed, puppies are limited, but it's worth the wait! They are wonderful!
Once we have our second girl, litters will be more readily available. I will approve people who want a Ta-Kari puppy... not just any puppy at any time. If
you are just "shopping" around or have your name on another breeder's waiting list, please let me know immediately.
Also, if it is determined during our discussions that someone
is going to breed, I must give them first picks of the litter. We need all the best quality pups available for future
breeding in order to add to and carry on the Aatu Tamaskan. There is no getting around this. (Example: If I have
3 females available and two purchasers are going to breed, they will get the top two pick, and the third female will go to
the pet only home.) Remember too that breeding quality puppies out of any litter are limited to usually 1, 2 or 3, if
any. So, if you are looking to breed and there are no breeding quality puppies, you may have to wait for the next litter.
All males must be confirmed to have two descended testicles before leaving for their new home.
COMMUNICATION IS VITAL!! When I receive an inquiry regarding puppies, I send out an initial response.
If I do not hear back on that response as to a continued desire to pursue a Ta-Kari puppy, or to correspond further as a chance
to become better acquainted, I will delete ALL inquiries older than 3 months (quarterly). For example, if you submit
an inquiry in January and I respond - if I do not hear back that you would like to pursue communication further (even if your
time for a pup is one year or more), I will delete your correspondence after 3 months. That does not preclude you from
a puppy in the future. However, with the amount of inquiries I get, I am seeking those applicants that are serious about
receiving a pup, and I can only keep so many in my current files.
